Sounds a bit weird, but it does have something to do with your passwords-not-saving issue &#8211; this is possibly because the overload of cache has interfered with the normal functioning of your Chrome password manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Incidentally, if you cannot open any pages via Google Chrome with a notification that reads &#8220;this site can&#8217;t be reached,&#8221; you can also try to clear up your browsing data and see whether that helps you regain access to websites. But this is not our focal point here, so let&#8217;s just turn back to the original topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To clear the cache and cookies stored in Chrome, you may perform the following procedure:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1) Open your Chrome browser, and press Ctrl + Shift + Del.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2) In the pop-up window, you&#8217;ll see three options under the Basic tab: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Browsing history<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Cookies and other site data<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Cached images and files<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Make certain you check them all. Then, click <strong>Clear data<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"508\" height=\"472\" src=\"https:\/\/www.drivereasy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/chrome-Clear-cache.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-183416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/images.drivereasy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/chrome-Clear-cache.jpg 508w, https:\/\/images.drivereasy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/chrome-Clear-cache-150x139.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 508px) 100vw, 508px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If this didn&#8217;t help you, you may check out the next fix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"fix4\"><strong>Fix 5: Remove unwanted programs<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"note notification\"><span>The Chrome Cleanup Tool for <strong>Chrome 111 <\/strong>or later has been removed, so you can skip this fix to the <a href=\"#fix5\">next one<\/a> if your Chrome has been updated to the version above 111.<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To rule out the possibility that some malware has prevented Chrome from saving your passwords, you can rely on Chrome&#8217;s built-in component to remove suspicious or unwanted programs (ones that may cause issues with the browser) for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1) Click the <strong>three-stacked-dots icon<\/strong> at the top right corner of your Chrome browser. Then, Chrome will erase the harmful programs automatically for you. You may be asked to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6) Open your Chrome and check whether the problem persists. Beware of the extensions that may trigger malfunctions in your Chrome password manager. If your problem disappears after all extensions are disabled, you should now enable them one by one and find out which has caused you the trouble. Turn it off once you&#8217;ve found out the problematic one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please proceed to the next fix if your issue still gets in the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"fix5\"><strong>Fix 6: Reset the browser to default settings<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s worth trying to reset your Google Chrome to its original defaults. Try to update your Chrome manually and see whether you can get through the problem by this way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1) Click the <strong>three-stacked-dots icon<\/strong> at the top right corner of your Chrome browser.
