But no worries, you can fix this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3 simple steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"#a\">Rule out the obvious<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"#b\">Use the On-Screen Keyboard<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"#c\">Update device drivers<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a\">Step 1: Rule out the obvious<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"#a1\">If you\u2019re using a USB keyboard<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"#a2\">If you\u2019re using a wireless keyboard<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a1\">If you\u2019re using a&nbsp;<strong>USB keyboard<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This issue is sometimes caused by a poor connection between your PC and keyboard, or, in some cases, it could be a problem with your USB port. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luckily, to fix this is easy: simply unplug your keyboard and then plug it back in another USB port to see if your keyboard is working. If it&#8217;s not, jump to <strong><a href=\"#b\">Step 2<\/a><\/strong> to see how to sign in to your computer without a physical keyboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a2\">If you\u2019re using a wireless keyboard<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re using a wireless keyboard and it&#8217;s not working, first, make sure the keyboard batteries are good. You can&nbsp;<strong>replace them&nbsp;with&nbsp;brand new&nbsp;<\/strong>ones to see&nbsp;if that&nbsp;resolves your problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All wireless keyboards have a receiver plugged into the computer, and the keyboard connects to that receiver without cords. To sign in to your PC without a physical keyboard, use the&nbsp;<strong>On-Screen Keyboard<\/strong>. Follow the instructions below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1)<\/strong> At the Login screen, click the\u00a0<strong>Ease of Access<\/strong>\u00a0icon on the bottom right screen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2) <\/strong>Select\u00a0<strong>On-Screen Keyboard<\/strong>\u00a0and click <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After login, try updating your keyboard driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"c\">Step 3: Update your keyboard driver <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most common causes of the keyboard not working issue is a corrupt keyboard driver. To keep your keyboard functioning correctly, it\u2019s essential that you have the latest correct driver at all times. There are two ways you can get the right driver:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Manual driver update<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 You can update the driver manually by going to the manufacturer\u2019s website for each of your devices, and searching for the most recent correct driver.
